A note from Brenda…

I began pursuing my interest in culinary arts and particularly cake decorating in the early 60’s in Macon, Georgia. Through the years I have studied with numerous professionals and cake artists from around the world in addition to graduating from the Culinary Arts program at CPCC in Charlotte, NC, and attending classes at the Culinary Institute of America. I have worked in Georgia, Tennessee and North Carolina. In 1981 we arrived in Kentucky which we now consider home.

Cake decorating has gone from an interest to a career I love and a passion that continues to excite me. There is always a new technique, a new recipe, and a new idea to try. It is never boring!!! What a compliment it is to be chosen by a bride to be a part of her wedding and to create the centerpiece of her reception. Whether a design from my portfolio or an original inspiration, every wedding cake is prepared with great care and attention. It is my desire to complete every cake just as the bride described and dreamed it would be.
